Chailey receives 'Dyslexia Friendly' status
I am delighted to let you know that Chailey School has achieved Dyslexia Friendly Status in the English Faculty at the first time of applying.
One of our main priorities this year is to ensure excellence in our delivery of the curriculum to all learners - be they gifted and talented or have a specific educational need. This gives us just the endorsement we need so that all learners can thrive here.
The written feedback on our provision included 'Dyslexia friendly evidence was exemplary. It showed the detailed way in which the school is reflecting on existing practice and making developments in terms of ethos, screening and identification, monitoring, support systems and dyslexia friendly teaching. It was a pleasure to see such high quality dyslexia friendly practice in the classrooms'.
