Chailey School achieves 'School Games Award'
Chailey School is really pleased to have succeeded in gaining an award for the quality of its provision in school sport. Chailey School is committed to ensuring young people value the importance of health and nutrition and to this end the school continues to offer core PE at Key Stage 4, including a range of activities that appeal to young people as well as traditional school sports.
As the school serves a rural community with many local small primary schools Chailey also plays an important role in organising and coordinating many competitions for primary children. Students at Chailey School enjoy helping to lead these events and can gain accreditation in Sports Leadership.
Head Teacher, Helen Key commented 'we promote active and healthy lifestyles in all we do, recognising the importance of sport in keeoing physically and mentally fit throughout life, and are delighted to have been rewarded with this award'
