Chailey School: Outstanding Student Progress 2018
This week the DfE published the progress data for secondary schools in England. We are delighted that Chailey School was one of four East Sussex Secondary Schools to have a ‘significantly positive’ progress score. Our score of 0.57 means that the students that studied here achieved on average between 0.5 and 1 GCSE grade better than at an average school. Our score also places as the second most successful secondary school in East Sussex. All of this has been possible because of great culture and work ethic of the students and the hard work and support of staff and families. For information the progress measure is based on the progress a student makes from KS2 SATs to GCSE performance. Mrs Key, Head Teacher, stated 'I am absolutely delighted that the hard work of the students, staff and Chailey community have resulted in such great exam results.'
