Reverend Hollingsworth Visit

On of our school governors, Reverend Hollingsworth, was in school on Wednesday to discuss Christianity with the Year 11 BE group, ahead of their trial exams. He started with a very philosophical discussion of the solutions to evil and suffering in the world, with some very challenging questions from the students on key Biblical and theological points.

Rev Hollingsworth returned after lunch to discuss the role of the Parish Vicar and Christian motivation for helping others, which again caused some tricky questions from students about who is his boss, how easy it would be to fire him and what he would have to do to get fired!

Rev Hollingsworth clearly enjoyed himself saying ‘That was a blast, I loved it’ and promised to come back in June for more ‘Grill a Vicar’ on Year 10 BE day.
