School Council Meeting
The School Council met this week to discuss a wide range of issues raised at earlier Year Council meetings. These ranged from practical issues in the school such as toilets, uniform and developments in the planning for the school's new build to fund-raising ideas and how young people at Chailey School can effectively voice their concerns to government about climate change. The Council consists of two representatives, elected by their year groups following campaigns and elections earlier in the year, as well as the Deputy Head Boy and Girl, and Mr Dudgeon and Mrs Key. Max Grindon, one of the Year 10 reps, is also the school's elected representative on the East Sussex Youth cabinet and reported to council on the Youth Cabinet's campaigns on mental health and also stopping knife crime.
