Uniform and Equipment

School uniform has a long and honourable record of preventing arguments about what should or should not be worn for school; our policy continues that tradition. Its main aim is simply to ensure that students come to school dressed in safe, practical, smart clothes, ready to perform at their best.

A high standard of personal appearance is expected of all our students. If there is a temporary problem concerning the wearing of correct school uniform, students should bring a note from home explaining this and obtain an exemption card from his or her form tutor.

As of September 2020, we have updated our Equipment List for students, taking into account current circumstances around COVID-19. Please see the updated list below:

Equipment needed for school

This is a complete list of the equipment students need to bring each day.  This is extremely important as we are minimising sharing anything and is therefore more extensive than in previous years. Please make sure that you send your children into school with the following:

In a pencil case

  1. 2 black biros
  2. A pencil
  3. Coloured pencils
  4. A purple biro
  5. Ruler
  6. Rubber
  7. Pencil sharpener
  8. Small glue
  9. Protractor
  10. Compass
  11. 2 highlighters
  12. Mini whiteboard pen (non-permanent black marker pen)


  1. Small headphones
  2. Reading book
  3. Mathematical calculator
  4. Small notebook – we are not giving out Student Planners this year and a note book can help students to write anything down they need to remember
  5. Small bottle of hand sanitiser
