A fantastic Work Experience Week!
We are thrilled to share the incredible success of this year’s Year 10 Work Experience Week!
Our students embraced the opportunity with enthusiasm, professionalism, and curiosity, gaining valuable insights into the world of work across a wide range of industries.
From shadowing MPs, vets and assisting at local primary schools, to exploring careers in engineering, retail, media, finance, marketing, architecture, construction and more, our students demonstrated maturity and a willingness to learn that was commented on by all employers and has made everyone here at Chailey School very proud. Many employers also praised our students’ confidence, communication skills and their eagerness to contribute.
One student shared, “it was amazing to see what a real workday looks like. I learned so much about teamwork and time management.” Another said, “This experience helped me to realise what I want to do in the future”.
We’d like to extend a huge thank you to all the businesses and organisations who welcomed our students this year and provided such meaningful experiences for them. Your support plays a vital role in helping our young people prepare for life beyond school.
