Our Year 10 and 11 trip to Boulogne was full of opportunities to explore French culture and practise speaking French. On Friday we got to explore the Old Town, visit a snail farm and, for the brave among us, actually taste the snails! On Saturday Year 10 and Year 11 got the chance to practise their French at the market while buying ingredients for a team sandwich competition; that was fun! In the afternoon we visited a chocolate factory and at the end the day, participated in a French themed quiz run by the lovely French "animatrice" who spoke only French!! On Sunday, we all had fun shopping at a "Hypermarche" and exploring the beautiful seaside town of Wimereux where we were able to enjoy a "glace" on the "promenade". Finally, to finish off the trip we stopped in to Calais to see the famous Dragon. It was altogether a brilliant weekend and a fantastic chance to experience France! Thank you to Ms Milland, Mrs Hutchinson and Mr Robinson.
