Ouse Valley Athletics

On Tuesday 18^th June our athletics teams across all year groups competed in the annual Ouse Valley District Athletics competition. This competition involves 6 schools (Chailey, Heathfield, Uplands, Uckfield, Beacon, Priory) and is our largest competition of the season. Students set off by coach and minibus with nervous excitement evident in conversation!

They competed across a variety of disciplines in both track and field athletics, with student pulling together in true team spirit to fill in events for those absent. They were exceptional by way of behaviour, effort and enthusiasm and showed great sportsmanship not only towards teammates but also the opposition, cheering on runners who may have needed a boost to the finish line.

Every student played their part and as such we had some amazing results. We are proud of them all!

Overall we came a fantastic 2^nd place, only 10 points behind Heathfield with Beacon being  a massive 71 points behind us in 3rd.
