Music Concert

Well, they’ve done it again! The Chailey School Music Department has just finished its third concert of the year and boy, did they do well! Our guests were treated to such a wide variety of Music, from Musical Theatre, to Classical favourites and even Big Band Jazz. Sadly at this time of the year we have to say Au Revoir to our year 11 musicians, and that is always hard. This year we are losing a phenomenally strong group and they will be desperately missed, as both musicians and as friends. But, they leave behind such an impressive legacy and the Music Department is the strongest it has ever been. This week’s concert proved it, with new bands, new orchestras, new ensembles and at least 4 new soloists making their debut on the Chailey stage. In spite of there being so many new acts, the standard was no less impressive than our audiences have become accustomed to and from the very first note, our musicians were simply outstanding.
No rest for us though, planning has already begun for our final outing of the year - a Party In The Park (well, playground) on the 18th of July. We hope you’ll bring a picnic and join us outside for our Summer Prom Concert. Put the date in your diary!
