Upon arrival at the Cats Protection the group were met by Jonathan Ramsden, Community Education Officer for London & the South East, he showed us around the centre, sharing information with group about different job roles that are at the centre as well as showing us how to identify how a cat might be feeling in order that we didn't overwhelm them when we got to meet some of the residents.
We were lucky enough to be taken behind the scenes to learn how the cats are cared for, what happens to them when they arrive at the centre, the checks they go through and how the Rehoming and Welfare Assistants support the cats to get them settled in and ready for adoption.
As always, our students behaved impeccably, they were engaged and asked lots of questions, though, if I'm really honest, all they really wanted to do was see the cats!
